Born in China in the 1930's, Corrigan settled with his family in Australia following the Second World War, having spent 4 years as internees of the Japanese in Hong Kong. Since the 1960's, Corrigan has actively supported the arts grant initiative that has grown to become a national program, the Pat Corrigan Artists Grants.
